Stacy Zorn, MS, Provisional LPC, Counselor in Training
Owner of Healing Circles Counseling
After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Stacy worked as a special needs teacher, then accepted a position a year later as a secondary counselor. She was accepted into the graduate program at Missouri State University in 2007 and graduated in 2011 with a Master of Science in Guidance & Counseling.
Currently, Stacy is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) practicing at Kindred Collective under the supervision of Jan Stock.
Stacy practices a person-centered approach to therapy with an emphasis on the here and now; however, she will also incorporate directive techniques to address anxiety, big life transitions such as divorce, career change, adolescent issues and goal setting. Her therapeutic approach is mutable and will change with the needs of her client.
“Because I believe we have an innate propensity toward self-realization, I will be with you, wholly, as you work to identify and express your emotions, confront common thinking errors, process trauma, and examine patterns and behaviors which are not serving you well.”
Prior to joining the healing team at Kindred Collective, Stacy worked as a high school counselor, special needs teacher, academic advisor and most recently managed projects in a sales capacity, part time, to make herself more available to her children. In her twenties she worked as a broadcaster and also owned her own business. In her leisure time, Stacy enjoys being a mom, creating art, listening to music, experimenting with food, and exploring nature.
Unfortunately, I am unable to accept insurance at this time and will use a sliding scale to accommodate clients.
I work with individuals ages 12 and up.
